MATTY MATHESON’S MEAT + THREE REVIEW! | BRIAN’S KITCHEN
Took a stroll down to Fort Erie, ON to check out Matty Matheson’s Meat + Three. It was my birthday and every year I choose a new place I would like to eat at. This year Matty Matheson was the winner…actually I was the winner because this place was amazing!
It’s well priced for what you are getting and I did not go away hungry at all.

Pasta sauce doesn’t have to be hard and it doesn’t have to have onion. Here’s the recipe. 2 cans San Marzano whole tomatoes (blend or squeeze them!) 4 cloves garlic sliced Bunch of fresh basil Kosher salt to taste Fresh ground pepper Chilli flakes (optional) Add some chopped carrots to cut down the acidity and then blitz the sauce with a hand blender to mix in the carrot without the kids notici...

Dammit now I'm hungry 😊
I tried your recipe for the first time for supper last night. It's uber delicious. There were a number of changes. First, I replaced the milk with an organic oat-cumin broth since I'm lactose-intolerant. Then, due to space constraints in my small fridge I decided not to buy the celery, so no celery. Also, no onion or Mrs. Dash. I also omitted the salty soup cube altogether since I'm watching my sodium intake. For taste I relied on a couple of extra garlic cloves and the cumin in my broth. I appreciated having the pearl barley to thicken my soup. I enjoyed 2 cups of this soup with a few organic pita chips. Then, I filled a 1-cup container with most of the rest of the soup. As a frugal tip, I added water to my Vitamix to collect the remaining soup. That's enough to enjoy 2 more servings of soup with future meals.😊
I am so glad you were able to modify this recipe for your needs. That’s the beauty of this machine.
that looks yummy
Big no on cilantro. Can we just stop with yhat ingredient
Lettuce
Ghey
Looks good. I was going to buy one but didn't know what it would look like
The Instant Pot (electric pressure cooker) makes easy-to-peel hard boiled eggs in 5-6 minutes cooking time. My favorite way to hard boil eggs. Set it and forget it.
Need a little spicy mustard ...
Thank you so much much Brother 👍🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👍👍
I’d rather my soup taste like garbage than the garbage that’s in the bouillon cube. I do make my own spice and salt mix but to ones each own
Don’t shoot the messenger. Make it how you want. I’m just the teacher showing how to use the machine. You do you. Live your truth ….or something like that. 🤷
For real authentic salsa you char the tomatoes first on a dry pan.
I’ve heard that and tried it. It’s far better charred. Last time I smoked all the vegetables and it was pretty awesome too.
@@BriansKitchenThat's what I was taught by a Mexican friend (as in a real Mexican actually from Mexico)
I use a ricer
By the by, I agree with no. 8
Really don’t understand why Cole slaw mix 😊
Me neither. Just extra veggies I guess. It was part of the recipe when I used to sell the machine at roadshows. It doesn’t have a strong flavour so it won’t change the taste of the soup and it gives more fibre.
Also…I too am a Guitar Lover! 😉
@@BriansKitchen thanks for explaining! I was hoping it wasn’t essential for this recipe bc I would like to try it and rarely buy that ingredient
I use a (mini-masher) instead of a fork works super quick!
Looks delicious!
I use to have those curtains. They are from Wal Mart.
I have to learn to tamper more and blend less.
I haven't bought salsa in years since I found Mrs Wages salsa mix,I make 5pints at a time
Bring your water to a boil put eggs in for nine minutes turn off heat let set nine more minutes run cold water over eggs your done perfect every time.
I steam my eggs and before I cool them I take them and spin them on the counter. If they don't wobble, they're done, if they wobble I'll steam them a little bit longer.
4am and im up big hungry!!!! Ive got all the ingredients for this and im gonna give it try. New subscriber here🖤
I'm always hungry dammit 🤣
@@godovermoney1124 Same! Its 2am and I'm big hungry....again! 😬🙄
I stopped boiling eggs a year ago. Steaming medium eggs for 15 minutes. Cool in cold water to about room temp, and the shells come right off every time. Perfect for deviled eggs.
We just bought a 5200 for Christmas (yeah. I’m the weirdo who wanted a blender for a gift). I’m late to the game with this video, but can I use bouillon granules? We always have Dasida (Korean beef flavoring) available, too.
You can use whatever soup stock you want! 😊
Here for the salsa 💃🏼 going to try this asap!
I didn’t know it can heat up this hot
Nice
I am totally amazed that it heats up! Have to look for an infomercial or demo.😸
Thank you very much! Great video tutorial. I will be making this salsa as soon as my Vitamix arrives. You’re a good teacher.
Gonna try this with Ghee!
I want to buy a same machine, can you suggest me one
I must have done something wrong. Only my second use with my new Vitamix. The first thing I made, a smoothie, turned out great. This soup? Well, I think I used too much pearl barley, too big a garlic clove and maybe my onion chunk wad also too big. You are not kidding about a little goes a long way. Maybe I'll stick to smoothies for a bit.
This might be the best intro to any channel ever
Turn down background music
Did you use the 48 ounce or 64 ounce container?
64oz
Looks like a good technique for hard boiling eggs. after watching the video I felt like this video was not targeted to an adult like myself, but was made to show a 6 year old how to hard boil eggs.
Everyone starts somewhere. When I got into cooking I needed it to be dumbed down for a 6 year old to understand.
Can you then freeze it?
I probably wouldn’t because it will freeze like a block of ice. Maybe make them into popsicles?
Peel the egg under running cold water
Not cringe at all! Do your thing 👍
Mr. cameraman, learn how to use the focus function, there, buddy-ro.
Perfect time to come upon your video! It is Autumn here in the midwest and I have been looking for a gtreat soup mix. Yes! Yours is the best! All I am going to add in mine is ham squares. :D XOxo
Love your Valley Girl voice lol.
poke a hole in the fat end of the egg before adding to the boiling water. Also you add to boiling water because water that's boiling is a known temperature. 212 degrees F. If you want soft boiled, seven and a half minutes. Hard boiled, ten minutes. The hole in the fat end, (use a thumb tack) let's the air out of the egg so the shell doesn't crack. Drain the boiling water and rinse under cold. Eggs left hot have green yokes.
What's up Tiger lilly?!
Great video! Nice looking salsa, I might try this tomorrow. I jsut got a Vitamix Explorian on the 7th, I love it! When you did this video you only had 78 subscribers? Wow! you are now over 3,000. Sure beats my 251. Ya got me as a subscriber🙂
First recipe I made today in my new Explorian, which replaces my Culinary Institute's pro model that my late husband bought for us years ago. Recipe came out super fine. Here's a tip. I found the pearl barley in the hispanic food section of Walmart. Really works well to thicken it up as he said.
Bublet
A tbsp of Sherry vinegar would add a nice zing. It’s a vital part to a great Gazpacho which would lend nicely to a salsa 😋
I recommend putting the salad in the fridge for at least 4 hours or next day is ideal. The flavor is better because in the fridge everything marinates & just tastes better. Before U eat it let it reach room temp & enjoy.
